Jackson Contractor Group seeks a Controller to lead the accounting team and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. You will manage job costing, WIP, cash flow, and internal controls while partnering with project teams and leadership.

You are a hands-on leader who thrives on solving complex problems, improving processes, and building strong relationships across departments. CPA preferred; degree in Finance or Accounting required; MS Office expertise a must.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an accounting role.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Management experience preferred.
• Experience with construction accounting or project management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily functions of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, job costing, payroll, and equipment accounting.
• Ensure accurate monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are accurate, complete, and communicated timely to executive leadership.
• Oversee the preparation and review of work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and job costing, working closely with project management to validate project budgets, costs incurred, estimated costs to complete, and projected margins.
