Job summary

XLNT Contracting is seeking a Controller to own our in-house accounting operations, including AP/AR, monthly close, and WIP reporting. This hands-on role partners with an outside CPA for tax and audit matters and requires a strong background in construction accounting and multi-state compliance.

You will own the full accounting cycle, coordinate with the CPA firm, and drive accuracy across cost codes, job costs, and banking relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience owning full-cycle AP and AR in construction or subcontractor-heavy environments.
• Experience owning WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own AP/AR full ownership, invoicing, collections, and aging reports.
• Own monthly close and core accounting tasks including reconciliations and depreciation.
• Manage WIP/GL reconciliation and job-cost reporting with Procore for accurate monthly performance.
