Job summary

Jobot seeks a seasoned Construction Controller in the Bay Area to oversee the entire accounting function for a growing general contractor. You will lead a team of accountants, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements for high-end ground-up and tenant-improvement projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction accounting experience, proven controller responsibilities, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or finance or a related field.
• 10+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Proven experience as a Controller.
• QuickBooks experience is required; Procore a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire accounting function for the organization.
• Manage a team of accountants and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
• Drive process improvements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with operations on project profitability.

Job Details

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in construction accounting, ideally with a general contractor
• Proven experience as a Controller
• QuickBooks experience a must
• Procore experience nice to have
• Management experience nice to have
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
