• Must possess or obtain within six months an American Red Cross Basic First Aid Certificate
• Must occasionally wear protective clothing or equipment as the particular situation requires such as coveralls, rubber boots, gloves, steel-toed shoes, goggles, earmuffs, life-jacket or other PFO, etc.
• Percentage of time to be spent TOY at the Panama City, FL Site Office is 75%. Percentage of time to be spent TOY at the Irvington, AL Site Office is 25%. Overnight travel required for training, conferences and rotational assignments

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Applying standard construction inspection principles to monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications on routine projects; (2) Assisting with the review of contractor submittals and pay estimates under direct supervision; and (3) Documenting construction progress and identifying basic deviations from contract requirements for review by a higher-grade inspector or engineer. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08)

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Independently performing inspections on construction projects of moderate complexity, ensuring work conforms to contract plans, specifications, and safety requirements; (2) Analyzing and interpreting contractor pay estimates, progress schedules, and reports to verify work completed; and (3) Identifying and documenting construction issues or deficiencies and recommending routine corrective actions to the project engineer. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Serving as a quality assurance inspector on complex, multi-phased construction projects, with responsibility for interpreting and enforcing all contract requirements; (2) Investigating and proposing solutions for complex field issues, such as differing site conditions or controversial contract modifications; (3) Coordinating and reviewing the work of other inspection personnel and serving as the primary field liaison for settling issues between contractors and the Government; and (4) Compiling, preparing, and consolidating required reports and field data using the Resident Management System (RMS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
