Job summary

Blythe Development Co, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, seeks a Construction Contracts Administrator to support the Purchasing Manager in contract compliance for NC/SC projects. You will draft and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders, redline documents in Adobe Acrobat, and route for DocuSign execution.

Experience with ProjectSight and lien-law knowledge are valued. The role requires strong time-management, communication skills, and familiarity with NCDOT/SCDOT

Qualifications

  • Experience drafting and reviewing subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Ability to redline documents in Adobe Acrobat and route via DocuSign.
  • Knowledge of North Carolina and South Carolina lien laws and notices.
  • Experience entering subcontracts and purchase orders in ProjectSight.
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • NC Notary preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Purchasing Manager to ensure contract compliance for local, state, and privately funded projects.
  • Draft, review, and issue subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Redline documents in Adobe Acrobat and route for execution through DocuSign.
  • Review owner contracts and flag risks (indemnity, pay-if-paid, and flow-down).
  • Maintain flow-down requirements in subcontracts (NCDOT/SCDOT and federal-aid).
  • Enter and maintain subcontracts and purchase orders in ProjectSight.
  • Keep contract files organized, current, and audit-ready.
  • Familiarity with NCDOT and SCDOT requirements.
  • Proficiency with common office applications.

The Construction Contracts Administrator supports the Purchasing Manager in ensuring contract compliance for local, state, and privately funded projects throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fundamental knowledge of construction techniques, materials, standards, and equipment
  • Ability to draft, review, and issue subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders; redline documents in Adobe Acrobat; and route documents for execution through DocuSign
  • Ability to review owner contracts and flag risks for the Purchasing Manager, including indemnity, pay-if-paid and pay-when-paid provisions, retainage, liquidated damages, insurance, and flow-down requirements
  • Ability to maintain current flow-down requirements in subcontracts, including NCDOT, SCDOT, and federal-aid provisions
  • Knowledge of North Carolina and South Carolina lien laws, including notices, lien agent filings, and payment-related lien waivers
  • Ability to enter and maintain subcontracts and purchase orders in ProjectSight
  • Ability to keep contract files organized, current, and audit-ready
  • Familiarity with NCDOT and SCDOT requirements
  • Proficiency with common office applications, including Adobe Acrobat and DocuSign
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • NC Notary preferred
