Job summary

Exponent Inc. in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Manager for our Construction Consulting Practice to lead large, complex change-management and dispute-resolution engagements for clients.

You will manage projects, perform detailed issue analyses, develop demonstrative exhibits and client-ready reports, and participate in industry associations. The role requires a Master’s degree in construction-related field, 10–15 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in subcontracting, general contracting, construction management or construction consulting.
• Understand project lifecycle from design through closeout and dispute resolution.
• Experience with construction change processes, including extra work, changes, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with internal teams and clients.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or other scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Project management for large, complex construction change-management engagements.
• Performing and directing detailed project change issue analyses (delay, cost, productivity impacts).
• Developing demonstrative exhibits, reports, and client-ready presentations for senior management and clients.
• Active participation in industry associations.
