Job summary

OpusLex Partners in Atlanta seeks an experienced associate attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to join our growing practice. This role focuses on sophisticated construction and commercial litigation with meaningful case ownership and a clear path to partnership.

The position offers advancement opportunities, a 1,850-hour billable requirement with bonuses for hours above the threshold, and a hybrid schedule with two work-from-home days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience required.
• Experience handling complex litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex litigation matters from start to finish.
• Handle matters directly for two partners and take meaningful ownership of assigned cases.
• Develop case strategy and conduct legal analysis.
• Draft discovery, motions, pleadings and other litigation documents requiring minimal partner revisions.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel and other stakeholders.
• Immediately assume responsibility for existing partner caseloads.
• Become a trusted extension of the partners while helping reduce their workload.
• Work efficiently and independently in a collaborative litigation practice.
