Job summary

Starbucks Corporation is seeking a Manager, Construction – Center of Excellence in Nashville, TN. You will lead a team of Implementation Specialists supporting new stores across North America, aligning projects with strategic growth and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will oversee staffing, policy implementation, training programs, and cross-functional collaboration with real estate, facilities, and design to drive standardized, high-quality store construction across the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing and developing teams, 3+ within construction.
• 5+ years managing construction permits and approvals for the development process.
• 8+ years planning and budgeting.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in a role performing project management functions for construction projects including vendor management, bidding, negotiations and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage team assignments, considering development and strengths, scheduling and business needs.
• Drive collaboration to ensure projects are staffed with appropriate resources and skills.
• Delegate and ensure clarity of responsibilities, decision rights, accountability and outcomes.
• Set annual strategy and construction goals, monitor progress and communicate results.
• Implement construction policies and ensure compliance across the department.
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, training and development of the team and partners.
• Establish regional priorities to support growth and new stores.
• Lead cross-functional work with GC, facilities, real estate and design to optimize outcomes in time, cost and quality.
• Guide financial objectives through proactive portfolio management.
• Build and lead the CoE Training Academy, creating scalable learning programs across project delivery, sourcing, design, and governance.
• Develop network of experts and coordinators for training content and events.
• Own Training Academy performance and continuous improvement using metrics and feedback.
