Job summary

Steristat in Columbus, OH is seeking dependable construction clean-up crew members for on-call work on commercial sites. This is hands-on, physical labor including debris removal, loading dumpsters, and site cleanup to ready spaces for occupancy. Training is provided if you have the right attitude and work ethic.

Travel with the crew to out-of-town sites, with overnight stays as needed. Early mornings, evenings or weekend shifts may be required to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Remove and haul construction debris; load dumpsters.
• Move materials and equipment across sites; lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Operate floor buffers, extractors, vacuums and pressure washers.
• Perform final cleaning on floors, fixtures and surfaces before occupancy.
• Collaborate with trades to keep projects on schedule.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Travel with the crew to out-of-town sites, including overnight stays.

About the role

We’re hiring dependable, physically capable crew members for on-call construction clean-up across commercial job sites. This is hands-on work: hauling debris, running cleaning equipment, and getting finished spaces ready for occupancy. No experience? No problem. We train the right people.

What you’ll do

• Remove and haul construction debris; load and manage dumpsters

• Move materials, equipment, and supplies across the job site, lifting up to 50 lbs. repeatedly

• Operate floor buffers, extractors, vacuums, and pressure washers

• Do final clean on floors, fixtures, windows, and finished surfaces before occupancy walkthroughs

• Work alongside other trades to keep projects on schedule

• Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements

• Travel with the crew to out-of-town sites, including overnight stays

What you’ll need

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and handle bending, kneeling, ladder climbing, and standing for full shifts

• Comfort working in an active construction environment

• Availability for early mornings, evenings, or weekends as projects require

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays

Preferred:

Construction, warehouse, general labor, or commercial site experience.
