ARCO is seeking a service-oriented Attorney for our Downers Grove, IL office to analyze and resolve pre-litigation disputes and oversee litigated and arbitrated claims. The role includes 10–15% transactional work negotiating owner and subcontractor agreements and collaborating with senior attorneys and business leaders on risk management.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in construction organizations or large law firms preferred, with familiarity with owner/subcontractor contracts and mechanics’ lien processes.
• First- and second-chair trial and arbitration experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and business acumen.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and resolve pre-litigation disputes and oversee litigated and arbitrated claims.
• Partner with senior attorneys and business leaders on claims handling and risk management.
• Negotiate owner and subcontractor agreements (10–15% transactional work).
• Collaborate with safety, HR, and finance teams; manage outside counsel and insurance partners.
• Present reports on claims-related data and stay updated on relevant laws and trends.
