A local construction firm in Sioux Falls is seeking a Carpentry Laborer to assist the Superintendent and Foreman with various construction tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints and perform installations and repairs on commercial structures. Excellent compensation package includes medical, dental, and 401K match. Job description

The Carpentry Laborer provides assistance to the Superintendent, Foreman and others on the job in performing construction work in accordance with contracts and/or agreements that the company has with customers. The Carpentry Laborer performs a wide range of miscellaneous work as directed by the Superintendent or Foreman on the job to meet the requirements of the assigned work and makes special efforts to participate in training and education programs to increase his/her knowledge of the company’s products. This position is considered to be a safety sensitive position.

Able to read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine the materials and dimensions specified; To install, repair, construct, or demo commercial structures; Install hardware of all types; Hang and trim interior doors; Install base, cabinets and counter tops; Install and finish stair materials and railings. Metal stud framing experience preferred but not required.
