Job summary

Revolution Workshop is seeking an Employment Coach to develop strong relationships with employers and clients, guiding job seekers through construction careers. The role emphasizes client-centered decisions, data accuracy, and active engagement in community job pathways.

Work hours are Mon–Fri, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, with occasional evenings and weekends. The position supports workforce development in the Chicago area from a social enterprise committed to equity and opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience working with underserved individuals and trauma-informed care.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to stay organized across multiple projects with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Coach clients through their construction job search and employment readiness.
• Prepare clients for retention in the construction industry with a ≥90% placement rate.
• Teach resume writing, interviewing, wage negotiation, and digital skills.
• Coordinate employer presentations and job site tours for trainees.
• Maintain grant-related documentation and data entry in required databases.
