Job summary

McKinstry in Seattle is seeking a Buyer to join the Purchasing team. You will process purchase requests via face-to-face, email, or hotline, prequalify and develop suppliers, prepare bid lists, and issue purchase orders while ensuring contractual compliance.

You will work closely with field and project teams, escalating requisitions promptly and owning transactions end-to-end with thorough follow-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or supply chain management or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong organizational skills.
• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to quickly learn new computer software applications.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requests received via face-to-face, email, or purchasing hotline.
• Prequalify and develop suppliers, prepare bid lists, qualify bidders, and conduct bid evaluations.
• Prepare, issue, and administer purchase orders; ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Process and verify invoices to confirm supplier performance and compliance.
