Job summary

National Association of Women in Construction seeks a cost accounting/budget analyst to assist with budgeting for new construction and modernization projects. You will prepare financial reports, develop protocols, and deliver training materials for client districts and internal teams.

Responsibilities include data input, invoice review, reconciliations, and communicating budgets with project managers and boards. A bachelor's in accounting and 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
• Familiarization with School accounting systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Input accounting data into software system following firm protocols.
• Review and analyze vendor invoices for appropriate charges and route for approvals.
• Reconcile CPM and school district accounting records.
• Communicate with clients regarding budgets and transactions for capital projects.
• Collaborate with project managers on construction budgets from development to close-out.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for School Boards and Oversight Committees.
• Prepare mandated state reports for capital projects funded with state monies.
