Job summary

A leading construction accounting firm is seeking a Construction Accountant responsible for managing financial reporting, job cost tracking, and budget analysis for multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of relevant experience. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are essential for ensuring compliance with GAAP and accurate project costing. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with project managers and assist in project closeouts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction or real estate development accounting.
• Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and AIA billing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile job cost ledgers, reviewing project budgets and costs.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports.
• Enter subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with contracts.
• Track project billing including AIA billing and change orders.
• Collaborate with project managers on job performance and forecasts.
• Assist in preparing Work-in-Progress schedules and reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
