Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Atlanta seeks a Business Development Engineer to support national self-perform operations. You will help the sales team write proposals, develop leads, and connect with clients to drive new business.

You will research target markets, coordinate with Marketing, maintain CRM data, and assist in contract reviews while attending early morning/late-evening meetings to advance opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years in the construction industry.
• Understanding of commercial construction with field/preconstruction exposure.
• Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and independent thinking in a team.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced presentation and sales skills; ability to engage clients.
• Must attend early morning and/or late-evening meetings/networking events.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales team with proposals, marketing presentations, and resource organization.
• Research qualified target areas, projects, and clients.
• Develop new sales leads through cold calling and market research.
• Maintain opportunity lists for the local region; support Account Executives and Market Directors.
• Administer CRM (PA/CA, Sales IOR, and Sales Scorecard) and coordinate with Marketing for proposals.
• Follow up on leads; conduct client maintenance and contract reviews.
• Ensure ethics and compliance at all times; may supervise other BDEs.
