Job summary
Bechtel is seeking a Construction Automation Lead to manage day‑to‑day automation activities on a large-scale project in the United States. The role serves as the on‑site delivery lead for digital tools, workflows, and system integrations supporting construction, project controls, ES&H, commissioning, and turnover.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience supporting construction or capital project digital systems.
- Hands-on experience configuring and supporting construction automation platforms and digital workflows in an EPC or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of construction workflows, field execution, and site-level data requirements.
- Experience supervising and mentoring technical staff in a project setting.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across project management, field supervision, contractors, vendors, and client teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute and support day-to-day Construction Automation activities in support of construction execution and field operations.
- Serve as the primary on-site SME for Construction Automation systems, tools, and workflows.
- Own the day-to-day operation and performance of Construction Automation systems supporting field execution.
- Support deployment, configuration, and operation of approved Construction Automation systems in alignment with M&T standards.
- Monitor system usage, data quality, and workflow execution and resolve issues impacting daily operations.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and operational support for site digital systems and integrations.
- Translate field execution needs and requests into practical automation solutions within approved standards and configurations.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of Construction Automation Specialists and Technicians, as assigned.
- Support training, onboarding, and user adoption efforts for project teams and contractors.
- Identify recurring operational issues or risks and elevate systemic items as appropriate.
- Capture site-level issues and lessons learned and provide continuous improvement recommendations to the M&T Construction Automation function.
