Job summary

CLA is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join the Western Ohio Construction team. This in-office role is based out of Maumee or Finlay, focusing on construction clients and offering a path to specialized expertise that accelerates your career.

Responsibilities include managing audit engagements end-to-end, reviewing procedures, strengthening internal controls, and preparing financial statements with disclosures. Travel to client sites may be required; CPA status is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• 2 years of public accounting audit experience required, with emphasis in financial statement prep, audits, reviews, and compilations.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements with construction clients from start to finish, including budgeting, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements and disclosures.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing all necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition letters.
• Communicating technical matters to staff, management, and clients clearly and proactively.
