Job summary

CLA Western Ohio Construction team is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our in-office team based out of Maumee, OH (also serving Finlay office). You will lead day-to-day audit engagements for construction clients and collaborate to deliver accurate financial statements and disclosures.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2 years of public accounting audit experience; CPA eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• 2 years of public accounting audit experience required, with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations is required.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites which may also require infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements for construction clients from start to finish, including budget, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements and disclosures.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Communicating technical matters clearly to staff, management, and clients.
