Job summary

CLA is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to join the CLA Construction team. This in-office role is based out of our Southern New England or Greater Philadelphia office locations.

In this position, you’ll execute and manage day-to-day audit activities for construction clients, review procedures, and develop internal controls. A CPA or eligibility is preferred, and occasional travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA exam preferred.
• 2 years of public accounting audit experience required.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites may require infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing day-to-day activities of audit engagements for construction clients from start to finish, including budgeting, planning, fieldwork, staff direction and financial statement prep.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition letters.
• Communicating technical matters to staff, management, and clients clearly.
