Job summary

CLA Construction is hiring an Audit & Assurance Senior to work with construction clients and develop specialized skills in a niche area. This in-office role is based out of Southern New England locations, including Worcester, MA, with potential travel to client sites as needed.

You will lead day-to-day audit activities, review procedures, and communicate complex financial matters to clients and management, while contributing to the growth of CLA's construction practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
• 2 years of public accounting audit experience required.
• Prior experience with a public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites, may require overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage day-to-day audit engagements for construction clients from start to finish, including budgeting, planning, fieldwork, staff direction and financial statement preparation.
• Review client accounting and operating procedures.
• Develop and assess the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and related disclosures and letters.
• Communicate technical matters clearly with staff, management, and clients.
