Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking an Audit & Assurance Senior to join the CLA Professional Services Organizations (PSO) team. This in-office role supports construction clients, offering a path to specialized expertise and career growth.

The position is based in either Greater New York or Greater Washington DC, with travel to client sites as needed. Required: bachelor’s in accounting/finance, 2 years of public accounting audit experience, and CPA eligibility or CPA status preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
• 2 years of public accounting audit experience required, with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• Prior experience with an established public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements for construction clients from start to finish, including budget, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing all necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Communicating technical matters clearly with staff, management, and clients.
