Job summary

Hooper Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in planning and executing electrical power and mechanical projects. You will help with estimates, procurement, subcontracts, pre-bid and progress meetings, and coordinating manpower and equipment to meet client objectives.

The role emphasizes cost control, safety standards, and thorough documentation, with interaction across Transmission, Distribution, or Substation teams and union hiring processes.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Business preferred.
• Related construction industry experience or internship is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of project contracts to meet cost, quality and safety goals.
• Prepare project estimates, procure materials, issue subcontracts, attend pre-bid and progress meetings.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and supply needs within Transmission/Distribution/Substation teams.
• Work with union hiring hall when appropriate.
• Establish objectives, costs, timelines, budgets, and safety standards; monitor progress.
• Manage administrative aspects of contracts and project closeout activities.
• Archive project plans, specifications, and communications for records.
