Job summary

US Facade is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Senior Project Managers on complex facade projects. You will bridge design, fabrication, and on-site installation, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality objectives are met through clear coordination with architects, engineers, and field teams.

This role offers hands-on experience with Window Walls, Curtain Walls, Storefronts, and Metal Panels, with growth potential in construction management and real estate development; you will

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Ability to read architectural/structural drawings; AutoCAD proficiency required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore/Bluebeam is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in the overall planning, direction, and coordination of project activities to ensure deadlines and cost objectives are met.
  • Manage the Submittal Process: Coordinate shop drawings and sample submissions between Architects, Engineers, Drafters, and Fabricators. Maintain accurate submittal logs and track approval statuses.
  • Document Control: Ensure the project team has the most up-to-date structural drawings, interface drawings, and revisions. Distribute updates to the Design and Site teams promptly.
  • Schedule & Financial Support: Assist in creating and updating Project Schedules based on client needs, factual durations, and lead times. Monitor milestones and flag potential delays to the PM.
  • Support the financial lifecycle of the project by assisting with Schedule of Values (SOV), preparing monthly requisitions (pay apps), and tracking Change Orders.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain: Coordinate Materials: Track fabrication status and coordinate the release of materials to align with the installation schedule.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate deliveries to job sites, including verifying hoist/crane access, confirming trucking arrangements, and ensuring field personnel are notified and ready to receive materials.
  • Site Operations & Quality Control: Perform routine Site Visits to monitor progress and quality.
  • Field Reporting: Document site conditions, verify that work matches approved details, and generate field reports/punch lists.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Site Supervisor and field personnel to ensure they have the necessary resources, drawings, and materials to work efficiently.
  • Act as a liaison between the office and the field to resolve technical discrepancies or RFI (Request for Information) issues.

We are actively seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our Senior Project Managers in the execution of complex facade projects. This is a pivotal support role where you will bridge the gap between design, fabrication, and on-site installation. Qualification
  • Education & Technical Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. (Ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings is essential).
    • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
    • Aptitude to learn new project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) quickly.
  • Experience & Knowledge:
    • 1-3 years of experience in Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Architecture.
    • General knowledge of construction industry standards and practices.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with the Facade/Curtain Wall industry (Glass, Glazing, Metal Panels).
  • Soft Skills & Languages:
    • Bilingual Required: Professional proficiency in English and Chinese Mandarin (Written & Verbal) to effectively communicate with internal teams and vendors.
    • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with GCs, Architects, and Field Teams.
