Bledsoe Construction is seeking a construction assistant to support on-site labor, equipment operation, and safety adherence. You will help prepare sites, load materials, and assist craft workers while following safety protocols.

Our team emphasizes training (OSHA courses, safety programs) and opportunities for advancement, with an emphasis on reliable transportation and teamwork on busy construction sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or strongly desired.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to learn from others.
• Strong sense of personal responsibility.
• Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and utilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards.
• Use various equipment, hand, and power tools.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of layout tools, and measurement tools.
• Load or unload construction materials, pipe, and equipment.
• Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel, using pick, rake, shovel, etc.
• Dig up existing pipes and lines.
• Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines.
• Guide pipes and shoring devices into place, assisting the equipment operator.
• Remove, fill, or compact earth.
• Work safely around heavy equipment, and people at times.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Assist all craft workers.
• Perform clean-up in connection with the work.
• Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and standards of safety.
• Move from job to job as projects progress
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisors.

Skills and Qualifications:
