Job summary

Arbor Homes in Central Indiana is seeking an Assistant Builder to support construction teams across our Indianapolis communities. You will help ensure daily progress, perform quality checks, and assist trades to keep homes moving toward completion.

Ideal candidates show reliability, strong communication, and an eagerness to learn the home-building process under supervision, with a focus on safety and timely project execution.

Responsibilities

• Unlock and walk each house every morning to assess readiness.
• Use QC checklist to confirm progress and quality from the prior day.
• Install knobs on newly framed houses and prepare for trades.
• Ensure job readiness for the next trade and maintain clean sites.
• Support trades to keep houses moving and manage subcontractors.
• Shadow pre-construction and close-out walks with supervision.
• Winter heating and snow removal as needed.
