Job summary

Upchurch is a rapidly growing full-service building engineering company providing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services across the southeastern United States. We seek a Service AR Collections Specialist to manage timely collections across a portfolio of jobs and customers.

The role partners with Service AR Billers and the Cash Application Specialist to ensure accurate invoicing, track payments, and resolve past-due balances in a job-cost environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable, ideally within construction or project-based services.
• Experience with job-cost/percentage-of-completion accounting environments is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with AIA billing, retainage, and lien/notice requirements is preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection efforts for an assigned portfolio of customers/jobs, including outreach to secure payment on past-due invoices.
• Monitor AR aging by job and customer, prioritizing activity based on balance, age, and risk.
• Coordinate with billers to confirm invoices, pay applications, and supporting documentation were received and accepted by customers.
• Prepare AR aging and collections status reports; support month-end close with collection updates.
