Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Oversight: Maintain a structured monitoring calendar for construction loans, including advance schedules, milestone dates, loan maturity dates, and reporting deadlines.
  • Analyze risk exposure by reviewing contracts, permits, change orders, insurance, and title requirements.
  • Progress verification through on-site inspections and construction consultants.
  • Budget tracking to flag variances, overruns, and reserve depletion.
  • Compliance management: validate documentation, permits, lien waivers, and budget reconciliations before disbursement.
  • Draw file maintenance: generate audit-ready draw packages with inspections and monitoring records.
  • Portfolio reporting: prepare periodic reports for credit leadership with pipeline status and risk flags.

This role validates draw requests against verified construction progress and delivers objective, thoroughly documented assessments of collateral condition to the credit team at each critical stage of the construction lifecycle.About This Role:Core Responsibilities:Portfolio Oversight: Maintain a structured monitoring calendar for construction loans, including advance schedules, milestone dates (such as completion dates), loan maturity dates, and reporting deadlinesAnalyze Risk Exposure: Review construction contracts, permits, change orders, zoning documents, builder’s risk/general liability insurance and confirming title company requirements for title date downs and mechanic lien coverage to mitigate delays and litigationProgress Verification: Coordinate on-site inspections to confirm the percentage of completion with RM’s or Internal/External Construction Consultants. Actively participate in site visits when applicableBudget Tracking: Monitor budget-to-actual cost variances across all active projects; flag cost overruns, equity shortfalls, contingency and interest reserve depletion for RM and/or SME reviewCompliance Management: Validate supporting documentation, permits, lien waivers, title date downs if applicable, budget reconciliations and verify physical progress through review of the construction consultant site inspections prior to disbursement approvalDraw File Maintenance: Generate audit-ready draw packages including documentation of all draw approvals, inspection reports, and monitoring activitiesPortfolio Reporting: Prepare periodic portfolio monitoring reports for credit leadership, including pipeline status, active risk flags, and upcoming maturity or extension decisionsThe Ideal Candidate for This Role:Required Skills:2+ years of experience in commercial banking, loan servicing or real estate administrationSuperior verbal and written communications skillsExhibit and maintain high degree of professionalismMaintain high degree of confidentiality and integrityAbility to communicate effectively and professionallyExcellent follow through and time management skillsStrong attention to detailsExcellent organizational skillsMust exhibit good business acumenAbility to multi-task and problems solveProficient with PC, web, and Microsoft Office applicationsMust possess a can-do customer-service attitude/philosophyPreferred Skills:Exposure specifically in commercial real estate / commercial home builder or construction lending environmentFamiliar with commercial and residential homebuilding and development life cyclesUnderstanding of how construction draw request, inspections, lien waivers and title updates workExperience with loan accounting or commercial bank systems and automated draw softwareCandidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.Compensation:Compensation range (base pay): $50,630.00-$83,540.00This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.Work Environment:It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week.
