Job summary

Stratus® is seeking an experienced Construction Administrator III to join our Education Team. In this senior role, you will oversee construction administration, ensuring alignment with plans, budgets, and schedules while collaborating with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.

You will mentor junior team members and guide complex education projects to successful completion. You will lead meetings, manage documentation, and actively participate in improving standards and workflows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, project management, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contracts, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced understanding of construction processes, techniques, and quality assurance standards.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the construction administration of large-scale or complex projects, ensuring full compliance with contracts, specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with contractors, design teams, and clients, managing communications and resolving escalated project issues independently.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to verify progress, evaluate quality, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee review and processing of construction documents, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Lead construction meetings with stakeholders to review progress, align deliverables, and resolve conflicts.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train Construction Administration Assistants (Level 1), CA I (Level 2), and CA II (Level 3) team members, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
  • Direct project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch list management, and preparation of lessons learned reports.
  • Provide input into improving organizational standards, workflows, and best practices in construction administration.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Administrator III to join our Education Team and lead complex, projects that make a difference. Required Qualifications

Preferred
  • Professional certification (e.g., CCM, LEED, PMP) or advanced credentials.
  • Prior experience leading administration of large or complex construction projects.
