Job summary

Stratus® is seeking a Project Architect for their Denver office to oversee design and development of architectural projects, ensuring technical accuracy and client alignment.

This role focuses on leading construction document production, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining regulatory compliance across projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for design and construction documentation.
  • Excellent technical drafting and detailing skills for accurate construction documents.
  • Ability to review and interpret complex technical drawings from consultants.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • 7–10 years of professional experience in architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of design solutions from initial concept through design development, ensuring designs meet client expectations, budget constraints, and are technically sound.
  • Prepare detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate the work of consultants, contractors, and internal design teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Manage project schedules and timelines, tracking milestones and ensuring timely completion of deliverables while managing budgets and resources.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure construction follows the approved plans and specifications, addressing discrepancies and ensuring quality.
  • Serve as a key liaison between clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure alignment and goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, helping them improve their skills in the architectural process.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements, including building permits, zoning laws, and sustainability certifications (LEED/WELL).

The Role

Stratus has recently partnered with E.A. Bonelli and are looking to hire a Project Architect for one of their main office locations. The Project Architect is responsible for overseeing the design and development of architectural projects, focusing on technical accuracy and client requirements. This role involves leading the preparation of construction documents, managing design teams, and ensuring project alignment with regulatory standards.
