Job summary

Runberg Architecture Group is seeking a Construction Administration focused Project Architect with at least 6 years of professional experience to support multifamily and mixed-use projects. The role may evolve to all design phases over time, with field visits and close coordination with owners and contractors.

Hybrid work with 1 day per week in-office is offered. Competitive compensation based on experience, plus benefits including health, PTO, and retirement planning assistance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of construction administration experience with RFIs and submittals.
  • Ability to visit construction sites and document field observations.
  • Accredited architecture degree (B Arch or M Arch); licensure preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for field reports and RFIs.
  • Collaborative approach with owners, consultants, and contractors.

  • Respond to RFIs and review submittals to maintain design intent.
  • Develop and revise construction details and drawings in Revit.
  • Communicate with owners, consultants, and contractors; document field observations.

Overview

Runberg Architecture Group is seeking a Construction Administration focused Project Architect with at least 6 years of professional experience to support multiple multifamily and mixed-use projects. While this position will initially primarily support CA efforts, future roles are likely to include all phases of design.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing construction administration services with direct responsibility for responding to RFIs and reviewing Submittals.
  • Passion for maintaining the design intent through thoughtful detailing, technical problem-solving, and collaborative engagement with owners, consultants, and contractors to identify constructability issues and propose practical, well-coordinated solutions.
  • Ability to regularly visit construction sites and document field observations.
  • Ability to develop and revise construction details and drawings in Revit to maintain accurate, coordinated construction documents through construction.
  • Experience and adaptability in a variety of Construction Administration Software.
  • A clear understanding of building systems, construction sequencing and methods.
  • A mindfulness of risk mitigation, professional liability, and the architectural standard of care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear field reports, RFI responses, and professional project correspondence.
  • Collaborative approach with curiosity, humility, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • An accredited degree in architecture (B Arch or M Arch). Architectural licensure is preferred but not required for this position. Motivation to pursue licensure is encouraged and supported by the firm.
