Job summary

CyberCoders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting operations with a focus on construction accounting and GAAP compliance. You will lead the accounting team, ensure accurate reporting, and support ERP systems while partnering with project teams to drive profitability.

The role emphasizes job costing, variance analysis, and external audits. A strong background in accounting controls and cross-functional collaboration is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in accounting or finance; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and experience applying GAAP in construction context.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience; 2–3 years in supervision.
• Hands-on construction accounting: job costing, revenue recognition, WIP, retainage.
• Strong analytical, financial reporting, and month-end close skills.
• ERP experience and proficiency in Excel; strong cross-functional collaboration.
• CPA preferred but not required; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team with coaching and performance management.
• Manage month-end and year-end closes in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain policies, internal controls, and best practices on projects.
• Handle job costing, revenue recognition, contract accounting, and WIP.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory activities.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast margins, and resolve issues with ops.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support ERP implementations and system improvements.
