Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, budgeting, audits, and internal controls.
• Proficient in or willing to learn spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets) for analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Viewpoint, Sage) preferred.
• Experience with account reconciliation, financial reporting, and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarter-end and year-end close processes and related reporting.
• Support reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Contribute to major accounting projects and prepare detailed reports.
• Participate in budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Aid in audit preparation and compliance efforts.
• Prepare and analyze spreadsheets for financial data management.
• Handle routine administrative tasks and finance-related correspondence.
• Process invoices and expense reports to support AP/AR.
• Maintain the general ledger and financial databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data gathering and ad-hoc analysis.
• Support month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Participate in continuous process improvement within the accounting dept.
