Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Construction Accountant to advance your career in the construction industry. The role focuses on job costing, project accounting, financial reporting, and handling AP/AR for a growing local construction company.

You will work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure accurate tracking of construction finances, support audits, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• CPA designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger transactions.
• Perform construction job costing, track project budgets, and monitor project profitability.
• Prepare progress billings, change orders, and retainage calculations.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Assist with financial audits, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate tracking of construction finances.
• Support tax filings and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
• Monitor project costs and identify budget variances and issues.
