Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a Legal Research Intern for the Robert A. Levy Center for Constitutional Studies in Washington, DC. This role involves drafting briefs, conducting legal research, and supporting the Center's work on constitutional issues.

The ideal candidate will be a JD or current JD candidate with strong legal writing and research skills. Interns will participate in seminars and receive competitive pay for part-time work with a minimum of 25 hours a week.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a JD or be a current JD candidate.
• Strong legal research and writing skills are required.
• Proficiency in Bluebook citation and meticulous cite-checking is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Review cert petitions and prepare concise memos summarizing issues.
• Assist in drafting and editing amicus briefs under supervision.
• Monitor Supreme Court developments and prepare written summaries.
