The Biltmore Estate in Reserve is seeking a Gardener I - Conservatory to support our Horticulture crew. This entry-level, part-time role covers plant installation, maintenance, and general grounds duties in the Reserve area.

Typical schedule is 5 hours per day, 2 days a week, Monday through Friday, for up to 20 hours weekly. Requires a high school diploma, plant knowledge, teamwork, and a valid driver's license; WPS certification within 10 days is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with annuals, perennials, shrubs; plant identification.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; proactive.
• Good judgment.
• Commitment to guest service.
• Operate gardening equipment safely.
• Valid driver's license; must be 19+.
• WPS certification within 10 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Perform basic ground maintenance: cleanup, trash removal, weeding, mowing.
• Assist with planting, bed prep, watering, mulching, limited pest control.
• Recognize common plants and report problems to supervisor.
• Work weekends/overtime as required.
• Operate grounds equipment with training; use PPE.
• Assist with fertilizer/pesticide applications under supervision.
