The Conservation Technician is a professional position working under the direction of Biltmore's conservators as part of a team of museum professionals to ensure the long-term preservation of objects in Biltmore's collections. The Conservation Technician will assist Biltmore's Conservator(s) in a wide variety of duties with an emphasis on preparing collection objects for permanent storage. Other duties include documentation, preventive care, maintenance and conservation consulting on all the collections, and collections research where appropriate. In addition, the incumbent will provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and company as required.
