Job summary

The California Conservation Corps is seeking a Conservation Supervisor to oversee Conservationist staff and Corpsmembers in Los Angeles County. You will supervise day-to-day operations, ensure safety and compliance, and manage performance, evaluations, and training across districts.

The role also plans and oversees public service projects, negotiates contracts, tracks budgets, and coordinates with partners and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff and Corpsmembers to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Ability to estimate project costs, manage budgets, and track income and expenses.
• Experience negotiating agreements and contracts with community partners or sponsors.
• Proven capacity to develop training plans, evaluations, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Conservationist staff and Corpsmembers across centers and satellite locations.
• Provide daily supervision, guidance, and training to ensure safe, inclusive work aligned with CCC policies.
• Oversee staff performance, evaluations, discipline, safety programs, and required training.
• Plan, manage, and monitor public service conservation projects and partnerships; estimate costs and negotiate contracts.
• Coordinate with budget staff to track income/expenses, prepare reports, and set reimbursement goals.
• Support recruitment, outreach, and community engagement; promote CCC through events and media contacts.
• Assist emergency response by ensuring teams are trained, organized, and ready to respond.
