Job summary

Shasta Land Trust in Redding, CA is seeking a SNAP AmeriCorps Land Conservation Program Assistant to support stewardship and outreach for conservation projects. You will assist with site visits, field data collection, report preparation, and landowner relations, gaining hands-on experience in land protection and community engagement.

The role also involves organizing records, improving project systems, and helping with newsletters and events, including tabling and outreach content creation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national or lawful permanent resident.
• Must be willing to undergo a national criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site visits and collect/manage field data.
• Help prepare reports and organize internal records.
• Improve project systems and utilize tools (Word, Excel, ArcGIS, Google Earth).
• Support public engagement, newsletters, and outreach to landowners and partners.
• Represent SLT at tabling events and assist with outreach content and events.
