Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
• 5 years of field experience in conservation planning or habitat restoration.
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects with partners and deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee animal care, nutrition, health and veterinary aspects of livestock ambassadors.
• Plan and track habitat restoration projects aligned with regional priorities.
• Manage land operations including invasive species control and habitat work.
• Supervise interns and temporary staff; set objectives and provide feedback.
• Develop habitat and livestock management plans with SMART goals.
• Coordinate with Community Building for internship/externship programs.
• Operate Audubon vehicles and equipment safely and legally.
• Assist with conservation budget development and reporting.
• Collaborate with maintenance for trails and facilities.
• Engage with partners, landowners and public in conservation efforts.
