Job summary

East Bay Regional Park District in Oakland, CA is seeking a Planner to support the Interagency Planning Unit. You will work on planning and environmental review for conservation lands, collaborate with local agencies, and help protect park resources while expanding public access.

You will build relationships with partners at multiple levels, contribute to CEQA processes, and assist with long-range planning efforts that support the District’s mission and open space goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field.
• Experience with CEQA and regulatory processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication for presenting in public meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning decisions affecting parks, open space, and natural resources.
• Prepare planning and CEQA documents.
• Coordinate with cities, counties, and state/federal partners.
• Present District positions in public meetings and hearings.
