Job summary

Defenders of Wildlife seeks a Multimedia Specialist in Washington, DC to develop and deliver strategic multimedia storytelling that advances conservation, education, advocacy and fundraising goals. The role expands reach across social and emerging platforms, translating science and fieldwork into high-quality visual and audio content.

You will create original video, audio, and multimedia assets for digital, broadcast and social channels, including vertical video, CTV, PSAs and web content, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of multimedia production experience with concept development, filming, audio, editing and delivery of social-first content.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and platform-specific storytelling.
• Ability to translate conservation topics into engaging, accessible content.

Responsibilities

• Develop multimedia storytelling strategies aligned with Defenders of Wildlife’s priorities.
• Deliver high-quality video, audio and visual content for digital, broadcast and social channels.
• Optimize content for social platforms using audience Insights and analytics.
• Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Conservation teams to source stories and scripts.
• Guide staff in content capture and provide direction for documenting conservation work.
• Maintain organized, rights-conscious digital library and assets.
