Job summary

Ducks Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a GIS/Remote Sensing Analyst for the Southern Region to support conservation planning and habitat delivery across 13 states. You will apply GIS/remote sensing tools, delineate parcel boundaries, evaluate carbon project eligibility, and help maintain monitoring databases.

Located in Ridgeland, MS, the role emphasizes collaboration, project management, and clear communication of results to diverse audiences, with a focus on wetland conservation and land stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field required; three years GIS experience preferred, or Master's with GIS/spatial analysis experience.
• Experience with GIS and remote sensing techniques, data management, image classification, accuracy assessment, metadata, and spatial analysis.
• Strong skills in ArcGIS Pro and related GIS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage geospatial data for conservation projects, easements, and monitoring—QA/QC and dissemination.
• Support landowner enrollment and project delivery by screening eligibility and reviewing property documentation.
• Conduct spatial analyses and landscape-scale conservation planning with interdisciplinary teams.
• Create maps, reports, and products communicating results, status, and outcomes to diverse audiences.
• Produce GIS documentation for easement establishment, baseline reports, monitoring, and habitat delivery.
• Clearly document methodologies and analytical approaches for internal/external use.
