Job summary

Fort Pierre, SD, is seeking a Conservation Foreman for the Game, Fish, and Parks Department. This full-time role oversees maintenance for the Oahe Downstream Recreation Area, including 294 campsites and multiple park facilities.

You will schedule staff, manage records, and ensure safety while working across parks, with CDL beneficial and veteran preference noted. Benefits include health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• This role requires knowledge of maintenance, plumbing, electrical work and grounds upkeep.
• Ability to organize daily and weekly work across multiple locations and staff.
• CDL would be highly beneficial and pesticide applicator certification may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance staff across multiple park locations and schedules.
• Maintain clear records of work completed and assign tasks to technicians and volunteers.
• Coordinate daily and weekly work for up to 12 seasonal employees and 15 volunteers.
