Environment New Hampshire seeks a Conservation Advocate to protect forests, lakes, parks, wildlife, and to expand clean energy solutions in New Hampshire. The role involves policy work, campaign strategy, coalition-building, events, and volunteer management.

The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, travel, and occasional evening/weekend commitments. Manchester or Concord are eligible locations.

Qualifications

• An advocate or organizer with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degrees may count toward experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build coalitions and organize events.

Responsibilities

• Assist in policy development and messaging to shape priorities.
• Build coalitions across diverse groups.
• Organize webinars, community events and public meetings.
• Recruit volunteers and manage interns when needed.
• Earn media attention and build a social media following for campaigns.
• Advocate to decision-makers through lobbying and testimony.
• Draft grant proposals and donor communications to fund campaigns.
• Grow the team and identify strong candidates to join staff.
