Job summary

Environment New Hampshire seeks a Conservation Advocate to conserve forests, lakes, and parks, protect wildlife, and promote clean energy solutions in New Hampshire. The role may be based in Manchester or Concord and involves campaign work across state lines as needed.

You will build powerful coalitions, organize events, recruit volunteers, and advocate to decision-makers through lobbying and written materials while growing our environmental programs and staff capacity.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant advocacy or organizing experience.
• Strong writing and public speaking abilities.
• Willing to travel regularly, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to build coalitions and work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Shape program priorities through policy development, research, and messaging.
• Build coalitions across organizations to support conservation goals.
• Organize webinars, community events and public meetings to engage people in protecting land and wildlife.
• Recruit and manage volunteers and interns.
• Earn media attention and promote campaigns on traditional and social media.
• Advocate to decision-makers via lobbying, testimony, and written materials.
• Fundraise by writing grant proposals and donor outreach.
• Grow the team by identifying candidates and overseeing staff.
