Job summary

Freudenberg Flow Technologies LLC is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead connector engineering, support North American customers, and drive new product development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective solutions, perform NPD activities, and apply CAD tools like SolidWorks and Mathcad.

The role requires 10+ years in oil & gas engineering, a BSME, and strong communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of practical engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• BSME required; MS preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME VIII, NORSOK, API preferred.
• Knowledge of metal-to-metal sealing products preferred.
• Knowledge of buoyancy system products preferred.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex concepts.
• Results-driven with ability to manage technical objectives.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic and day-to-day engineering activities for the Connectors team.
• Support the existing and growing customer base in North America.
• Manage daily engineering activities, processes, and technical inquiries, serving as a source of expertise for the business, colleagues, and customers.
• Work closely with various FFL teams to identify customer technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Utilize strong CAD skills, with SolidWorks preferred.
• Working knowledge of Mathcad is advantageous.
• Anticipate engineering challenges and recommend new product development opportunities when needed.
• Interface directly with customers who are recognized subject matter experts within their industries.
• Perform New Product Development (NPD) activities, including calculations, design reviews, engineering evaluations, and adherence to best practices to ensure projects are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Provide technical expertise to support the introduction and expansion of existing HIC products into new markets.
• Travel will be approximately 10 % but could vary based on demand.
