Qualifications

  • 10+ years of practical engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably with pressure-containing connections (e.g., flanges, piping systems, or subsea connections).
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, NORSOK, and API preferred.
  • Working knowledge of metal-to-metal sealing products preferred.
  • Working knowledge of buoyancy system products preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate highly complex concepts, anticipate objections, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with the ability to establish, monitor, and achieve technical objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic and day-to-day engineering activities for the Connectors team.
  • Support the North American customer base.
  • Manage daily engineering activities, processes, and inquiries as a source of expertise.
  • Collaborate with FFL teams to identify and solve technical challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Utilize CAD skills, SolidWorks preferred.
  • Mathcad knowledge is advantageous.
  • Initiate new product development opportunities when needed.
  • Interface with customers who are subject matter experts in their industries.
  • Perform NPD activities: calculations, design reviews, evaluations, and best-practice adherence.
  • Provide technical support to expand HIC products into new markets.
  • Travel ~10%.
