Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid‑Level OT/IT Network Engineer to join the Saxton Lab Team in McLean, VA. You will own STOL's network, coordinate security artifacts, and support connected‑vehicle demonstrations across lab systems and field sites.

The role emphasizes hands‑on networking, documenting security posture, and cross‑functional collaboration with researchers and CIS teams. On‑site work in Virginia is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on OT/IT networking design, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, subnetting, ACLs, NAT, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, ATO processes, and security documentation is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and troubleshoot OT/IT networks and testbed infrastructure.
• Manage Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, routing, IP addressing, and related services.
• Monitor network health and troubleshoot using packet captures, SNMP, and logs.
• Maintain security posture, ATO/RMF artifacts, and POA&Ms; coordinate remediation with CIS and ISSO teams.
• Operate STOL’s testbeds and support experiments across network, device, timing, and application layers.
