Job summary

Nissan USA is offering a Software Engineer Intern position in Santa Clara, CA, for a 12-week program. You will join the Connected Customer Experience Services team and contribute to the development of software and embedded solutions for connected vehicle experiences.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Master’s degree in CS/CE/SE, have a GPA of 3.0+, and are proficient in C++ or Java, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Onsite work in Santa Clara is required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above (transcripts required for verification).
• Strong programming skills in C++ or Java.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities

• Work on new software and hardware platforms involving sensors, connected cloud services, mobile applications, and in-vehicle technologies.
• Support projects from ideation and concept development through prototype creation, testing, and validation.
• Program, develop, and prototype mobile, embedded, and connected applications using modern software technologies.
• Build proof-of-concept solutions and prototypes that can evolve into production-ready products.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and innovative solutions that enhance customer experiences.
• Collaborate with Nissan, Alliance partners, research teams, and third-party organizations on connected services initiatives.
